Regina Schrecker began her career as a top model, appearing on the catwalks of the grand masters of haute couture in Rome, Florence and Paris. With her mitteleuropean background and cosmopolitan education, Regina settled in Florence, where she soon discovered her true, great passion – fashion design. She entered the fashion system as a model while she was attending the University of Milan (History of Art and Theatre). She was elected “Lady Universe” in 1971 and she also worked for the Italian Public Television’s (RAI) advertising show “Carosello”, acting beside Italian great actors and singers like Johnny Dorelli, Enzo Jannacci, and Walter Chiari. After several years before the footlights, Regina made the huge leap from “object” to “subject,” diving into the world of haute couture as a freelance fashion designer.
